The Dutch gambling market went through a massive overhaul when the Remote Gambling Act (Wet Kansspelen op Afstand) came into force in October 2021. Before that, online betting existed in a legal grey zone. Now the KSA (Kansspelautoriteit) runs a strict licensing regime, and we think the market is better for it.

Licensing and Legal Framework

Every licensed operator connects to CRUKS (Centraal Register Uitsluiting Kansspelen), the national self-exclusion database.
